Shamanic Drum Making Ceremony
We are so excited to offer our Drum Making Ceremony. In this ceremony, you will build your own rawhide hoop drum and the leather soft drum beater. Creating a drum can be a magical experience. We put our prayer and energy into the drums as we build them. You will learn about this sacred tool and its uses to heal yourself and others. The drum is a sacred instrument used to communicate with the Spirit and connect our hearts with the heartbeat of the Earth. It is a powerful medicine that heals the body, heart, mind, and spirit.
We will make one-sided hand drums using wooden frames made of Buffalo, Deer, Elk, or Horse rawhide. See the options below on the sizes and prices of the different hides.
All of the supplies will be included in the price of this workshop!
We will be starting with the intention for each individual. Intention and prayer create action. It is essential to clarify what purpose you are asking for when participating in ceremonies such as this. We suggest you take the time to reflect on major changes in your life that you may be seeking and form an intention statement that is short and precise. We will breathe this intention into the drum as you are building it.
The creation of the drum is a prayer and ceremony in itself. We will work with our drums as a visioning meditation for our lives and paths so that our thoughts and intentions remain in a high vibration as we create the drums, and through that process, they become part of the drums. During that time, we will share and listen to sacred songs from different Native traditions. Making your own personal drum is a sacred journey and the power of making something like this with your own hands is incredible, it becomes an extension of your own heart and mind.

About the facilitator: Stephanie is passionate about health and healing, which has led her to do some amazing things. She has a BA in Complementary and Alternative Health. She is a twice-over certified Reiki Master, Instructor, and Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in holistic and spiritual therapies. She has taken shaman training under a shaman elder. She has been meditating and communicating with spirit for over 20 years. She has led guided meditations for 10+ years and shamanic ceremonies for over two years. She loves to share her knowledge and hopes to help all she can by bringing spiritual practices to those seeking them.

What to bring: Blanket, pillow, water bottle, lunch, and snacks that you would like to bring. Please wear comfortable clothing since we will work on the floor and move around during drumming.
