The thoracic area of the body protects your heart and lungs contained within your ribcage as well as providing support to your upper body. When your thoracic spine is in a healthy and flexible state your posture and your breath function work at optimal levels.
In the yoga/meditation classes, we use personalized, mindful stretching along with guided meditations to bring about more awareness to the sensations we are having in our physical, mental, and emotional states. This is NOT a regular yoga class, it is much more personalized to the client's needs and uses guided imagery and stretching to the client's ability level.
